Insight reports are the deliverable your team and stakeholders care about — but not everyone who needs to read them has an SMP login. Share links let you hand a read-only view of any report to anyone with the URL, with optional expiry.

What you'll do

You'll open a report in Insights, generate a share link with an optional expiry, and copy it into your team chat. Total time: under a minute.

  1. Open the insight report

Navigate to Projects, pick the project, then open the Insights tab. Click the report you want to share — share links work on any report, including draft reports.

  2. Open the share menu

From inside the report, click the Share button in the top-right action bar. The share panel slides in from the right.

  3. Choose an expiry

Pick 7 days, 30 days, 90 days, or No expiry. Most teams pick 30 days for routine sharing and 7 days for sensitive findings — there's no wrong answer, but shorter is safer.

  4. Copy the link

Click Generate link. The link copies to your clipboard automatically and is now live — anyone with the URL can view the report until it expires.

What recipients see

Recipients land directly on the report — no login wall, no organisation chrome. They can read every section, play any embedded video, and copy quotes. They cannot:

  • See other reports or projects.
  • Comment, edit, or change anything.
  • Download videos or transcripts (those remain protected behind organisation auth).

Common questions

Do recipients need an SMP account?

No. Share links bypass authentication entirely. The recipient just clicks the URL.

Can I share a report with just specific people?

Not yet. Share links today are anyone-with-the-link. Per-recipient access is on the roadmap — for now, treat the link as you would any sensitive URL: share over a private channel, set a short expiry.

Will recipients see future updates to the report?

Yes. The link points to the live report, so any edits you make are immediately visible. If you'd rather snapshot the report as-is, export it to PDF first (also from the Share menu).
